im using a canon rebel xti, i love photography. thank you for the complement.
No, we plan to add quite a few more fish (within reason of course) we have a strawberry dottyback in there along with a couple crabs and several snails. we also got a cleaner wrasse that unfortunately died tonight.. im totally devastated. My LFS agreed to replace it because it happened so fast (i know the guy, typically they dont replace marine fish) but were not going to replace it.. we will just get a cleaner shrimp instead.

ok, so we have added two yellow chromis (the green ones were so blah looking) the dottybacks are picking on them big time which of course totally makes me mad.
Oh yea.. I think Ive FINALLY done the rock the way i want it permanently. Here it is.. I hated how it was so far off to one side before and especially disliked how it made our tank look so empty. With our tax return we plan to start adding some corals and such, I cant wait!!

were also debating (still undecided) putting a large tank in our bedroom, our living room is pretty packed with our entertainment center, desk, tank, couch, rabbits cage, exc... its still undecided but we are certainly considering it.
and of course... my favorite little guy "nemo" (thanks kids..)

Ok, were taking the dottyback, back. Its beating up our new chromis horribly and im afraid the poor things are going to die if this continues. Were considering a royal gramma instead.
Oh yea, we picked up our first coral today too!! We picked up a metallic green hammer and a green star polyp. The hammer hasnt come "out" yet but i expect it to shortly.. its already starting to a little bit (since the pic was taken).

I had NO IDEA they were so aggressive... also we had to completely dismantle the darn tank to get the stupid dottyback!!! My tank looks practically brand new with the typical sand storm and im sure its going to spike my levels... i did a partial water change (5 gallons) in hopes that it would be ok. Ill be shocked if my brand new corals live through it.. not to mention all the snails, clown and chromis. At least I was able to remove them from the tank while I did the rearranging. Pray they live through it!!
I will post pictures of our rockscape (again arggg!) as soon as the tank has a chance to clear. At least during the change over I was able to put a piece of egg crate under the rocks so there isnt as much rock "hiding" beneath the surface of the sand. That was certainly one of my better ideas..

we redid the rock work (had to after catching the dottyback) we got store credit for it. Were going to let our tank settle before we add another fish.
Also, my husband and I went to the LFS and agreed on a tank. Were going to get a 140, oceanic reef ready tank with over flow system so in about two weeks or so were going to start cycling our predator tank (going in our bedroom) OH YEA!! i finally hit page two! And, Nissan i would love to buy some from you :) I want to see how these do and then we will add a few more things.

I was just checking pricing on the rock too here a few minutes ago. Seems like there are some pretty good deals on like 75lbs of live rock.

yea it is. or you can come down here i have a bud who is selling lr for 3 bucks a LB pretty cheap and really nice

I'm new to the site, I as well have a 37 gallon aquarium, just like yours, We have pretty much the same fish, however I haven't taken my Damsel out yet. I'll post a picture of it later. If I post a picture of something on my live rock can you all identify it?

you could try posting the picture in your own thread in the hitch-hiking forum.. but it wouldnt be seen if you post it here.. I know with my LR alot of the time whats "growing" is just micro algae. I love our 37 gallon tank... I also removed our damsel, it was a real pain in the butt to catch and we had to do it.. it was picking on everything!

hey adee, looking good.
did you say you have a hawaiian cleaner wrasse?
this fish has dismal survival chances, especially in a small tank with nothing to clean, you should take that back too.

No, unfortunetly the cleaner wrasse died the night we got it... I had spoken to the LFS (you know who) and they basically said it wasnt their problem, marine fish arent guaranteed so we lost out on that one... Right now we havea 6 snails, 2 emerald crabs, 1 false clown, 2 yellow chromis and thats it. We are considering getting a royal gramma but we will see. We had a strawberry dottyback that was picking on everything and they agreed to take it back and give us store credit.. we had to turn our tank basically upside down to catch it so we werent about to buy any more fish that night.
