3 gallons is an extremely small amount of water.
If you want more fish, get a bigger tank.
Like a standard 10 Gallon, which can be had at most stores for $10.
Then piece together filtration, lighting, etc...

Agreed. Im thinking about doing a 3g pico, but its simply for the fact that I want to see how many super mini corals i can get in there. Ive seen picos that look incredible and they only have like, a sexi shrimp and thats it. but if you want more than one small fish, the standard glass 10g is like, $12 from ANY local pet/fish store. then just grab a light and filter. I would argue that if you went that route and really shopped around, it could end up being CHEAPER than doing a 3g pico with upgraded lights.
