5.5 Gal

Thank you for those kind words, I am pretty proud of it.....

Six years ago I started in this hobby with a 10 gal tank, It was okay but I put the wrong things into the tank and soon it was over run by mushrooms and leathers. Not having proper lights at the time and a rather drab looking tank I soon lost interest in it. I did have some neat fish during my time with the 10 gal but still nothing really seemed to click with me.
I thought I would sell everything and I did but wait, I could not sell my gsp so I kept those on a small piece of rock and setup a 1 gal pico. Yes a 1 gal pico. Everything was going well but then I found florida ricordeas, oh my gosh do I love my rics. Their colors are amazing. So with things growing so fast in the 1 gal i soon moved stuff to a 3 gal. I kept this 3 gal going for sometime until I bought new lights, FINALLY proper lights. So with that this is where I am today:
5.5 gal
nova extreme 36 watt T5HO fixture ( just love this light)..

aqua clear filter
50 watt heater
purple florida rics
orange florida rics
green star polyps
lime green zoas
red zoas
brown zoas
green/orange zoas
anthelia
cabbage coral frag
porcelain crab (so cool love him)
pom pom crab
hermit crab
nassarius snail
algae eating cowrie
2 sexy shrimp
purple firefish
I do weekly water changes on this tank, regular scraping of the glass, every otherday water top ups. I keep things very simple as you can see and this is what works best for me.
Glad you enjoy it, I will post new pics as things progress in growing.
Thanks again.....

Thank you Nissan that makes me feel really good.
What do you mean by the green algae??
If you mean the glass, I am forever cleaning it thanks to the new lights but I love them.
If you mean the rocks the clean up crew looks after that plus there is not much room on the rocks for the algae to grow with the corals on them.
Let me know what you mean

The glass is a pain in the butt , I do it often and use a plastic scraper. I use to use a razor but they soon rust and break with saltwater so I use the cap that fits over the blade and it has a very hard clear plastic that works like a charm and its the same size as a razor blade so its perfect size.
Here are some pics i just took of the tank.

I forgot to answer your question Nissan, my cleanup crew is not very big but the sexy shrimp are always picking away at algae, I have one algae eating cowrie, one nassarisu snail and they seem to do the trick.

Thanks for the comments.
The fixture is a current usa nova extreme 18" 18 watt T5HO I love the way it looks on the tank and of course what it does for the corals as well.
I would love to show some pc pictures but this new forum will not allow me to upload my pics for some reason. Only the new pics I have taken, so sorry about that.
I really do not like the upgrades to the site, loved the old one.....
