I can't wait to show her this thread.... :jumping:

there is no way i would show my wife a thread in which i was asking everyone to prove her wrong lol. i would not have even started it let alone rub it in her face after i did it lol,

I can't resist, every time I try to get her to take a look at it she turns her nose up and says "waste of money". My basic plan is just to tell her that I've confirmed that the little rock I got is well worth the 5.50, and if she doesn't believe me I'll show her the thread. She's a big time bargain shopper so she appreciates "good" deals.

I "once" (once being the key word here) paid $85 for a golfball sized rock with 15-20 "pinhead" sized bright blue polyps from an "auction site"...(looked bigger in the picture
...)
With shipping came to $125...Lasted about a week before it shriveled up and died....

Never did tell the wife... :scared:

I paid $10 at the LFS for these...

I would've done the same for those (if it is a color I don't have).
$32 + shipping for these...

when i frag our zoanthids some people are willing to pay big bucks for some of them. others would thinl they are nuts. its all up to the value the buyer places on them.
And your Zoas are AMAZING!!

San Diego fish stores ROCK!!! I dream of being able to live there one day! What store was it? I liked Octopuss' garden. Flew all the way home with live rock and 2 huge acro colonies I got for next to nothing in a lunch cooler. At first they questioned if it was live stuff and I dodged the question by saying it was decorative coral. I also ordered online like 5 royal blue zoos on a pebble, like Squidd did and they fell way down behind an impossible to reach place
$80 down to the black hole. I didnt mention it to my husband either

Yeah, like everyone else said, I do not think you got robbed at all. Once it opens up, it will look great.
And besides, even if you did get robbed, at least it was only for $5. I bet you everyone on this website will tell you that one point or another in this hobby they spent money on something that they shouldn't have, and it is probably going to be much more than $5.

Well she took my word on it, she respects the info this site and the people here give me. She even went over to the tank to take another look. I explained the color thing and how they are almost like flowers in the color variations.
I need a new picture though, they are all opening up now and really look great.
Thanks for all the comments

Thanks zoo master. :jumping:
I've seen some super bright orange and green ones at the same place I got these from, but he wants 50 bucks. It's on a rock about the size of softball and probably has 15 or so orange polyps with 15 or so green ones. Good deal?

I'd buy that for 25 bucks for sure. I actually need a color tone like that in my tank to even out all the pinks.
