I am using the method on seahorse source. hydrate, bleach, rinse, and set to hatch. I am using a cup and air line to hydrate, and bleach. its getting them the right color - not always sure I am leaving them long enough or too long.

I tried a method several times of bleaching, rinsing, and whirling in the blender, then setting to hatch. I was never really impressed with all the extra work involved.

Their little tummies look nice and full! Totally cool. I am amazed at the color differences.

most of the ones in the 20 gal are the younger ones. There are a few of the older ones. I am still feeding bbs, adding some cyclopeeze. I added a few mysis, its funny to watch them watch the mysis float by. I only saw one or two even try to snick them though.

Maybe a stupid question but could you put the mysis in a food processor or maybe use a mortar and pestle to pulverize it? I have found that when my guys are getting hungry, know it's meal time, and see the baster, they tend to snick a little more blindly. I am trying to use this time to introduce some frozen on a test group to see how they fare.

I have added shaved mysis, but they didnt seem to notice it. I will be working hard on getting them on frozen though. Since I had a bad week of hatching, food was a little light. I bought more decaped from SH Source and had a really good hatch today, so I have been really feeding them. Tomorrow I am going to give mysis and cycops for the first feeding to see if they will take it. I really hope I can get them feeding good soon.
I think this is the hardest part, like feeding a stuborn child. lol

Hey T, What do you mean by shaved mysis? I am really trying to learn from all of this because I will be setting up a 30 gallon for horses and I would like to breed them.

Well, you take a cube of mysis and slice off small sections off, like cutting a loaf of bread. (best way to decribe it)
