I just finished my 54 corner last night also. Here is the first pic of it. I really need a new camera.

Hard to say on the T3 at this point...only been running 'bout a month
It is quiet though...starts right up after power off...we'll see in a couple months, I guess...??
My first SCWD only lasted a day though...then had an "internal" malfunction...(do have prefilter on intake, maybe a bad SCWD,maybe a "chip" of plastic stuck inside pipe ??)
The second one is running fine...switches every 5 seconds...

I bought a JEBO fixture on e-Bay...$79
4 X 65 watt PC 4' fixture... Come with two ballasts, two 10k bulbs and two "blue" bulbs (junk...throw them out)
I took the 4' fixture cut it in half, used one ballast and the two 10k bulbs over the fuge...
Then used the other ballast (mounted external of canopy) and the "reflector" (mounted inside canopy) with two "True" 03 actinics on the Main tank...

I like the "basement" thing as well...
Two reasons for that...
1. There is limited room in the stand under a corner tank, it would be very hard to set up a decent sized tank for the sump/pump/skimmer/etc...Much less an effectively sized fuge.
2. The basemaent is "cooler" year round...the "mass" of water runs a degree or two cooler than the Main tank when the MH lights are on, the exchange of water helps keep the main tank below 82 deg...When the lights are out the heaters kick in and maintain temps above 79 deg...Kind of a built in "chiller".

Squidd, that tank rocks! We've got a 54 bowfront, but it doesn't look that good! Wow! Really nice.
By the way, where is this log cabin that you've got this in!? Really nice.

Yeah, I know...someday I'll get a "real" house with "drywall" and stuff...NOT
...:D
I'm up in the North Woods of Wisconsin, living in a 100 year old log cabin..."Furter Nort Den Parts of Canada, Aeh"
Just had an ice storm, lost power...so I fires up the generator and plugs in the important stuff...You know, the MH,pumps and heaters...:D ...Oh yeah, and the computer...

Heres some of the "locals"...
