your tank is so clean...LOL...how old is it? Your rock work is very interesting....I like it :)

Really nice set up - the coral you are asking about are yellow polyps, they spread very quickly, be careful what you put next to them.

Thanks for all of the replies. The tank has been up for 3 months and I had the tank up four about 3 years then I gave everything away when I moved to Chicago and now I'm back in so cal I started it back up. i got more pics to. I'll post them in a little bit

sweet tank man! Is it acrylic or glass?
The brain coral u got their is a trachyphillia i believe...it looks a lot like mine anyways lol
puffing up like that is a good thing indeed! It should also show its tentacles when its eating...u can feed it.
Mostly at night it will deflate and show tentacles!
the coral u need id'd does look to be yellow polyps! They grow like grass (not that kind os grass)...
also can sting other coral. They love the light! If you can get another pic of the "yellow polyps", i would be more certain!

The tank is acrylic I wish I would have bought a rectangle rather than a flat back hex. I have a question why do leathers shed? Here are some more pics of my new additions.

Sweet looking tank!!!! Super clean. I like it a lot. I could not tell it was a flat back hex until you said so. I have a buddy that has one (the tank is a mess) and he likes it. Yours looks 10X better. Keep up the good work!!!
