i lost the video between that last one and getting the goby. so it goes from sandy to rocky. not much rock yet but every time i add a fish i will get more. this guy at the lfs has a nice plan for it all.
here is my little ??. can you tell hat he is? boy or girl? i wanna name him walter, he looks like a grumpy old man, haha.
guy says he is near full grown. i just gave him his first mysis tonight.

last night he lost alot of color and was pinkish, is that normal? he is bright yelow and fine tonight btu what happened?

In answer to your question about your goby. It is hard to tell which they are. But usually the female is a darker color. How big is it. My mated pair are about 4" long with the female the bigger and greyish-yellow and the male a bright yellow. The following is a link to my pictures of my pair. Maybe that will help.

....I'm sorry..did you say something???..oh..oh well..........

ok ok Mr. grumpy gills

#1. When you suck up the mysis into the baster. The baster must remain vertical. It is important to hold the baster right over the food dish and proceed to lower it straight down. Any side to side motions or tipping of the baster allows air to escape, causing the mysis to escape.
#2 Food Dish Location,
Location-location-location. It's all about location. The food dish works best when placed on the tank floor at a angle. Place the food dish so that the dish is tipped away from the return flow
as pictured here

i turned the power heads off and kept the baster vertical. it worked.
but even with garlic in it it takes them a while to even notice and go to it. like an hour. and then they barely eat it cause there mouths can only take in the smaller tiny pieces, there still young horses.
but they are eating copepods like NUTS
they will just run the side of the tank and twitch there heads like there slurping up pods. if you see a white spec near there snouts and watch it you can see it disappear when they twitch sorta, haha.
oh, about the polyp
like i said on earlier posts, the polyp is ON the horse. And i don't feel comfortable boiling seahorse for dinner

the polyp is so small and stuff and it barely comes out eiuther. but the tentacles, small ones, NOT like anemone tentacles, like polyp ones. there kinda feathery. the polyp is pure white too. and i don't know what to do about a tiny polyp that barely opens up on a small horse. the horse doens't seem to be bothered by it, it never tries to pick at it and doesn't seem to be hurt when the polyp has opened.

Am I the only one to see a big red flag with the tank hanging over the stand on both sides? Isn't that a recipe for disaster? Just asking...
Sorry Zeke, I don't mean to flame, and I'm not...believe me. I posted this strictly out of concern...I've not heard anything good happening with setting a tank up on a stand that doesn't fit properly. Hope you understand.

Sorry Zeke, Lisa's right.
Each gallon of water weighs 8 pounds. 55 x 8= 440 lbs
Then add at least 100 lbs for substrate= 540 lbs
So making a guess from your picture, there is at least 45 lbs of unsupported weight on each end. It's only a matter of time until the unsupported part of the tank snaps and...

AHHHH!!!! we didn't think much of that little area on both sides, we figured since 90% or more is supported it would be fine...i'll talk to my dad about gettin some wood and making some additional support on both sides.

the polyp is still there i don't know how to get it off guys

when it's out it doesn't seem to hurt the horse and the horse doesn't seem to pick at it or seem like it bothers it wich is good. but i'm sure gettingit off would feel better.
