my advice to you is that you set this tank up in your barn or porch and not in your house. that way you can see if the equipment will work for you and not flood your house. when you get all the pumps right and plumbed correctly, fill with regular water and let it run for a week to see if flows are right. when you get it plumbed correctly with no leaks for a week ,then drain put in house and go from there.

That sounds great. Sould I run a canister as well. Should that filter the sump, or filter in the tank. By the way I really appreciate your help.

Thanks partsman, Actually it is sitting outside. This way like you said I can test it before I set it up in the house. I am by know means a plumber.
Thanks for the advice.

That is what I am aiming for! That is a beautiful tank. Is tha an all glass model 4 or another one. Can you explain the flow into the sump. Does the water travel to the skimmer first, or in the sump, and then the skimmer. Once again beautiful tank!!!

the overflows drain into the same chamber as the skimmer then pass through the refugium then to the return pump chamber then back into the tank.

if you look to the left of the sump you will see that i used a T to direct flow from my pump to both of my return's .

So your overflows don't actually connect to anything in the sump. They just dump into your skimmer section of the sump.
