I don't qt corals......I have a deepwater acro that is doign great...and a couple of sps that are too.....some are right next to ones that have withered away
I have not tested in a little while :( Every time I did, the parameters came out where they should be.....don't ask me #'s.....I can not remember
I will run all tests tomorrow though......I just stopped because nothing ever made sense as to why I was having issues.....as I said before I just got frustrated

Meowzer I was referring QT for new coral additions......Quick dips are proven not to be totally effective.

so every three weeks on waterchanges but how much? you may be missing one of the "untested" elements and small partial waterchanges may not be keeping up with it. just a thought you may want to do a "reset" and do a single or double 50% change, to reset your water parameters. thats one thing I usually do when I am having uneplained problems and everything I can test for seems ok.
IMO doing occasion reset waterchanges is a good idea in older tanks since the majority of the water is actually quite old. like I said just a thought, and I do understand the logistics of how much a PITA doing a 50% on a 225g is.

Got the Yuma huh? Got a closer picture? Chances are all of the small ones around it are also Yuma.

oh another thought, you mentioned leathers, do you have a lot of leathers? are you running carbon? I know build up of terpenpoid compounds from leathers can lead to recession in SPS and LPS. just spitballing ideas here hopefully something clicks for you.

I will try to get a closer pic once all the lights come on.....the rock is full of them on all sides :) the other rock, the rhodactis, they are really kinda small....so have to wait for them to grow

YES, I have a yellow figi leather, a leather tree, a cabbage leather, and a toadstool....(2 I guess cause it had a baby)
I run chemipure elite in both canisters
Readings....calcium 450, alk 8 dkh or 2.86 meq/l, phosphate 0.03......my magnesium test either is no good or my mag is really high....which could be possible....
PH seems low....maybe 8......temp runs around 80 this time of year.....

Your PH of 8 isn't bad......Question might arise is the PH swinging and if so how much........
