Thanks... I'm almost finished stocking it. May add 2 or 3 more fish. I'll probably do a foxface and maybe a moorish idol or 2. Or I may try 1 more tang... Any suggestions.

Thanks and good luck with your tank. Here's a couple different types of pics... :happyfish :happyfish
The first one is the ray waking up from a nap...

cool! What kind of ray is it? How long have you had it and whats the disc size of it? Cool shark! How big is he?

The ray is supposedly a yellow stingray... he didn't turn dark until I put him in my tank. The disc size is about 4 1/2 - 5 inches and I've had him for about 8 months. Dougai, I love puffers but I worry about one picking on my shark/ray. I think a puffer would be a gamble.

Unfortunately you should clean the sand. I did it in buckets. The sand leaves a lot of black dust and your tank will clear up quicker if you get as much of the dust out as possible before putting it in the tank.

Sorry I missed this question b4... he's getting big... probably around 20 inches. Grew about 4 inches in 9 mo's. But that's probably because he eats like a pig!

I'm not sure what you're asking about... are you talking about the feather duster or livestock? The fish are a sohal tang, purple tang and miniatus grouper. Sorry if this doesn't answer your question.

jcrim, you have my dream tank!!!
Can i see a full tank shot?
So you can have rays and sharks in the same tank? I wanted a blue spotted ray, but heard they're like the hardest to take care of. What other kinds of rays can you get in that setup, do you know?
Yes, a puffer is a big no no, as well as triggers. They'll most likely pick on the shark. I want to get 2 bamboo sharks, and maybe a ray. Always wanted a moorish idol, so i may do that too. I love the black sand!!! great contrast with the epaulette shark! Are there many different colors of sand? My LFS only sells white. I would love to do black, but i'm afraid the bamboo sharks will blend in too much!
OOOHH i sooo want a panther grouper too! Your grouper is a beauty!
I'm in awe!!!

I have also heard that blue spotted rays are very delicate... that caused me to shy away from them. But rays are all equally entertaining in a tank. You could try a yellow stingray, cortez or bullseye stingray. I think the yellows are the most readily available. :happyfish
The only sand colors I know of are white, black, and a mix between the two. I agree that a moorish idol (if healthy) would be great with these types of fish. Post when you get yours set up.

Here's a full tank pic... and some pics of the newest fish. My grouper is being a real a--hole to it.
