A good filter alternative?

Fancy Serpent Sea Star, Tiger-striped, Sand Sifting Sea Star, Sea Cucumber, Tiger Tail
I only have had experience with nassarius snails,cerith snails, and sandsifting stars

Sand sifting stars are kinda hard on your sand and can kill all the good things in it.
Basicly it is anything that eats waste you should do a surch on google and search for stuff yourself since you will like stuff that other ppl wont. There are many diffrent types of things that eat left over stuff the most common thing you will find is the snail and the crab.

I use a skimmer. I don't consider it mechanical filtration though.

I have two maxi jet 1200's and 100# LR. No filter, No Protien skimmer, and a coral beauty, and four chromis, although I have a good clean up crew. I am just waiting on money for an overflow, pump, and asm skimmer.
