A little advice

I am still kinda "green" around here and new to the hobby. I have already spent countless HOURS reading posts and suggestions and even used some of them. I have a 55g, all parameters are great. I have a EHEIM 2217 cannister filter and a emporor 400 for filters. I have about 50lbs of LS and around the same if not a little more of LR. I have 3 damsels, a Niger Trigger, a puffer and a new lawnmower blenny. I also have 2 mexican turbos, about 15-20 blue legged hermits. My trigger isnt aggressive whatsoever and neither is the puffer. I neeed some advice on the green hair algea, i dont want to use chemicals so i was wondering if a foxface would be too much. I dont have a so called "outbreak" but would like to prevent one from happening. I dont think emerald crabs would make it with the puffer or anything not protected by a shell. Open to all suggestions and thanks in advance for your help!

What kind of damsels? Sounds like a good amount of fish already.
Also, I don't believe nigers are too aggressive at the younger years, they become more aggressive when they grow.
With your cleanup crew you shouldn't have too much of a problem with algae unless there are other factors causing a 'bloom'. You could probably get away with a few more snails though. Just make sure to not overfeed and to not to keep the lights on too long.

I would not recommend adding any more fish. I would suggest finding a way to remove the excess nutrients from your system. I would guess that you have a high level of Nitrate and/or Phosphate.
Is there any chance you could add an algae scrubber or a refugium where you could grow macro algae?

oh i guess i should have added that. I have a blue damsel, a yellow damsel and black damsel... (not a domino) My acentic lights run from 1130 to 1230 and my 10k's come on at 1230 to 630 or 7 and the blue again from 7 to 9ish. I feed once a day "very lightly" and by lightly i mean a pinch of flakes or mysis and then once a week i feed a half cube of frozen brine. Im just trying to plan ahead for preventative maintenance before i have to worry about "REAL" maintenance. I also have xenia that deal with the phosphates (unless im mistaken) and my nitrates are in check. Im not having problems with the algea its just that the snails and blenny arent dealing with the hair algea, they are munching on the other stuff just fine.

so after some research today and a couple of calls around town i found someone looking for a puffer. Problem is i dont know if i want to get rid of the little guy. Im kind of torn on this one but dont want to ruin a good thing i have going so far by getting behind on the algea. Would it be best to just let him go and get the foxface or more CUC? Should i just keep him and deal with the algea when the time comes? Thanks in advance. Also open to any suggestions...... Thanks in advance
