A mystery..... Help me!

Hey guys,
I have 3 questions for ya.
First, my orange linka has dark spots on him and I don't know why they are there. Second, there is a white, fuzzy looking slug that I just found that must been attached to a new coral from the LFS crawling around my aguarium. Can you help me identify it, and should I get rid of it? Third, there is a patch of green alage that is growing on the glass that doesn't seem to want to scrape off. Again what type of alage is it, and do I want it in my tank? :notsure:

I don't know about the Linckia, perhaps Ophiura knows.
The Green algae is Coralline. Try using a credit card to scrape it off.
The slug is a nudibranch. I can't identify it but it's probably a coral predator.

My linkia had those too. if you watch the spots closely they move. after the fact I realized that they may have ben flatworms, as my tank was infested with those

Is coralie alage bad and should I try and get rid of it. Also, how do I get rid of the flatworms?

do the spots move? I really think it is flatworms. try and use a turkey baster and lightly blow on the spots on the linkia. You should be able to see the move. If this is the case I would use salifert flatworm exit. BTW coraline algea is very good.

Coraline is fine but you might not want it growing on the front glass. It will continue to spread and will probably start to turn pink or purple soon.

Be very careful when using Flatworm eXit. Flatworms release a mild toxin when killed, and if too many are killed at one time it could be detrimental to your tank. Nudibranch bad....I dont even bother to look up the type of Nudi, I just kill it on the spot.

I have bright green coralline algae and it does not change color, it just stays the brightest green you've ever seen, very pretty.

make sure you use a turkey baseter to suck up as many flatworms as you can, that way when you use the flatworm exit it wont be as bad, make sure u do a 50% water change right after you dose the flatworm exit but make sure their all dead before the water change. good luck

or you can get a fish that eats the flatworms likea wrasses or something.
