yeah, stuff thats being moved once i start modding this thing LOL 3 of the fish are goin in the koi pond an the betta will go in a betta bowl with a filter on it LOL

You obviously have not thought this whole thing thru!
2.5 gal pico with a few gallons worth of a sump, and the two 1/2 gallon betta bowls, you could ditch the sump, ditch the 2.5 pico, ditch the bettas and use those fiters for now and get a tank equivilant to the amount of gallons as stated above. So you should be a ble to get a at least a ten gallon or so.

yes, those are freshwater fish LOL and the reason im doing the sump an whatnot mike is mainly for practice, and i want this thing to be unique, if you look at the design me an rotary came up with, this thing should rock once i get done, its gonna be corals only, with possibly the addition of apair of eviota's, but thats gonna be it

if i can get a good enough deal, ill get a 10g tank an use the 2.5g as a sump for it, but, i really want the sump, mainly for the practice at building one, what with what i plan on doing starting next summer

a ten gallon tank itself is like ten bucks twenty at most.

Yup, wall mart sells 10 gallons for like 15 bucks. Then you could use the 2.5 gallon as a refugium

well, LOL, i might be upgrading already, there's a 15g tank, 24x12x12 on craigslist with accessories for 12 bucks, so if thats still for sale, we might be buying it tomorrow, MAYBE, and if i do, ill use the 2.5 as a sump for it
