i agree beautiful pics.. but i dont belive they are real. ive been through quite a few hurricanes.. i even went through the eye of andrew and charlie. and ive never seen anything like that in either storm. tornados i belive.. but the rest i think is just some really nice photoshop work. either way, awsome pics. i also wonder, if they were all taking of it coming in,, why is one at night?

ok let me clarify to make you feel better. these were pictures taken from katrina, some were coming in, some may have been at night, also a tornado is an obvious result of a hurricane coming inland. this isnt a intent to impress anyone. these were simply gorgeous pictures and nature's awesome fury. my goodness, its amazing the skeptics.

do me a favor send these pictures to your local meteorologist ask him if this is possible, I also do want to mention that these pictures were taken in alabama, and mississippi, those clouds can form just like that, believe me I live in Iowa, this is not an uncommon site. the size of it is, but not the formations.... your location would not enable you to see this because you are essentially surrounded by water.

Perhaps, it's an alien ship camouflaging itself.

You really should post your sources and give credit to those who took the pictures. I at first I thought you took them.
I went through the eye of one of them, isn't it amazing? don't remember which one it was, may have been Andrew, but I really don't remember. I know I was littleish. I was going crazy not being able to look outside so my dad cut a hole in the wood coving the back door so I could see outside.

Those pictures have NOTHING to do with the hurricane. THey are a hoax! This cut and paste from internet hoaxes contains the exact photos posted here. The "skeptic" is right!
Fake Photos of Katrina Arriving
LaMa forwarded me some pictures of Hurricane Katrina that he says have been doing the rounds in Holland accompanied by the caption: "These were taken in Alabama of Katrina coming in. These photos are amazing. Sometimes there is beauty in a storm. Thought you might enjoy something different than what we all have been inundated with of late." He notes that "a few of them look familiar to me, I think I have seen them before." And indeed he has! I posted them here back in May when they were doing the rounds as a "storm near bunbury" (in Australia). They're cool photos, so I can see why they would be recycled with every new storm. I believe (as one of the commenters pointed out when I posted them before) that they're storm chasing pictures taken by Mike Hollingshead in Iowa in 2004.

well thats fine with me. that kinda sucks that it is a hoax. but none the less i have seen cloud formations and colors like that before, thats why i was convinced, funny to hear that they were actually taken here in iowa.. lol
footnote. I never intended for anyone to believe i took these, I live in Iowa, as it states under my name..

Still nice pics car shark..... Glad to see it wasn't a photoshop tweak and the guy that took them got credit - thanks ScubaDoo
I was still betting on they were an alien ship camouflaging itself.
