YAY...I actually got a water change done in all 3 tanks, and took apart the cascade 1500 canister in my 225G...scrubbed it clean (I only use it for flow)....added a few of those ceramic thingys, and a giant bag of chemipure-elite

I sure hope it helps my HA.....I have actually made a very large dent in the removal manually, with a seahare, and other cuc also....

Great feeling huh Meowzer??? I don't know how you guys do it with big tanks...I do 4 gals a week for my 2 nanos-Friday nite mix water, Sunday AM do both tanks, and media and glass, and I am worn out. Now I only have use of 1 hand at the moment so maybe that makes it strenous. If I had a 225 or even a 75, I would be up sh.. creek! LOL We live in a stilt home which has 14 steps to main living area, and carrying all that rodi water is a task within itself. Kudos to you all and I know how much you must love this hobby.

LOL...I only live in ranch style houses for that very reason. All 3 tanks...

We should have a weekly support group to encourage each other to clean more. I do every Friday and every other weekend. We should post some water parameters to encourage water testing..... show some before and afters to prove we are cleaning up :)

Yah I worked on my tanks this weekend Friday Saturday and Sunday for at least 4 hours each day. But the biggest is my nano!
I feel your accomplishment :)
The weird thing is once you get going its a bit addictive.

When I set my system up, I put lots of effort into making maintenance easy so I would stay on top of it. My tank is a 54 and I have two 15 gallon holding tanks, one for salt water and one for fresh. Those tanks are heated and recirculated. I siphon a five gallon bucket out of my display tank typically on Saturday, flip the "salt to tank" switch and the heated water is pumped back into the tank. Each morning I flip the "fresh to tank" switch to top off the display tank. I purchase my water from my LFS, two 5 gallon jugs a week for $2.50 per jug. I could put my own RO system in but at $5 a week with someone else doing the maintenance it would be hard to justify. I was blessed with lots of dumb luck when I set my system up but it has worked well. The tank goes through the wall from a heated garage into my dining room. The holding tanks are in the garage as is a freezer to store the food. Point being, the more time spent in prep, less time in drudgery.

very nice setup. similar to mine except my top off is gravity fed ATO and I dont have the nifty switches, I have to manually plug in the pump to run saltwater from my mixing bin to the tank. Bravo you
