Adding Another set of lights

OMG I feel so stupid now, I have been doing nothing but setting up tanks this week - I don't take good FTS, here you go

Looks nice. How do you like the bulb color choice?

I thought you would never ask, J/K they come with an anctic and a 10K daylight - the first set I have needs new bulbs - i would like to see a bit more color in this tank to be honest with you my favorite viewing time is when the anctics are on in the morning and evening, did I show you my 3$moon light.

for not taking good FTS's as you say thats a pretty decent picture
just a word but most people when they change thier bulbs end up upgrading to a higher end bulb, ATI and Geissman pout out some nice ones that can give you some really nice color selection makes certain color corals pop better.

I need all the help I can get - I am just starting to understand lights - 10K - 6500 - I would like some more blue or purple in my tank. Thanks Guys & Gals

I have to tell you though the extra set of lights is really making a difference - never seen my tank so bright - have to go out and get some sps and a clam now. How long to acclimize my corals should I run the new lights.

the lower the kelvin the more yellow the bulb will be. but i think you get better growth out of the lower kelvin bulbs

ya better growth, but better color with bluer lights, a good in-between bulb is a 14k bulb

Hey I really have to thank you guys - I put a piece of flex hose and made the 180 a lot tighter. I can get the third light in no problem - thanks again guys this is why I like this forum so much, this took me about 1/2 an hour. Cheers

Al your saying you want the tank more blue?

I would like more purples, pinks blues Yes Tank looks great right now with all the lights on. I think I should only run the new ones 2 to 3 hrs a day for a while.

I'd opt for bulbs in the 12k and higher k for more blue......
