I have a friend who has registered and has not received conformation.
He can not post threads until he is.
Its been a week since he registered.
How long does this take?
Or did he do something wrong.

admin probably wont see this in the forums. but usually its onlya few minutes before an email is sent. I dont know if the current email problems from the board has any effect on regestrations.
do you know what the username was that they signed up with?
We went through this with another member signing up for his daughter and had to set up another username and email for her to be able to log on.

I think someone is using that. Tell him to capitalize some letters and use numbers.

The website is kind of on the "fritz" so to speak at the momet, but it would usually tell a new member if the name was taken.

I did a search on that name at the top in the "search" window. Nothing came up. I do not think it is being used.

He looked it up before trying it. There are "nascarfan with numbers" but no "nascarfan"
He can login, but can't post replies or start a thread. So the name must be OK.
It just says the admin needs to aprove his account.

I have searched and can't find a way to contact an Administrator about a name change. Mine was entered with an error in it and I would like to change it?

Since he can authenticate it must be a problem on the admin side.
I hope they resolve all of these bugs soon!!!!

Be sure the email address is correct, and also that the email filters didn't toss the SWF email into spam, etc.
