of course there is life
bacteria is life
space is infinite

If you are referring to me I am not the only one out there that thinks that this is possible. There are plenty of scientists that have though the same that I do. It is just something that can't/hasn't been proven yet.
We all have our own theories that someone else is willing to criticize. Criticize has to stem from one of two things though: factual information stating it is wrong or the ignorance of believing that such a thing is not possible.
I agree that there is definitely bacterial life out there and more than likely something more advanced as well. There are more than likely life forms on the moon as well. We may not be able to notice them because they would obviously have to thrive off of something that is plentiful up there. Just because we breath oxygen does not mean that everything in the universe has to as well.

Something/someone that nobody has SOLID proof of their existence. An old blurry 8mm film of someone in an ape suit(bigfoot) and one grainy B&W pic used for a bizillion years(lochness) doesn't constitute SOLID proof...just to specify.
why do you keep comparing life on other lanets to big foot and the lockness monster?

completely different things. how big is space we dont know i would def say theres a chance of people similar to us on other planets, there just so far away we cant explore them. as far as UFO's who knows. but get over the big foot and lockness please

Because in my opinion(which I'm entitled to BTW and whom several others have agreed with) " intelligent life on other planets" ie: aliens(or whatever) falls into the same category as them...fictional as in I do not believe they really exist. You may feel it's a "completely different thing" I however don't. So there's nothing for me to get over.

I hope you are not counting me and one of those people that have agreed with you. I agreed with your statement about not believing in fictional creatures. You know that statement is basically saying I don't believe in make-believe creatures. Now the make-believe creatures are big foot and Nessie, for one, people have admitted to making up the films/pictures we have seen.
I however believe there life on different planets. Look at the weird stuff on this planet. We keep trying to define life forms by the rules of this planet. Well there may be different rules for life on different planets.
I can't remember the timing exactly, but if the billions of years the universe were placed on a 24 hour clock, we as life would not show up until one minute before midnight. Well maybe around 10:30 something happened somewhere else. Who knows

I think that with all the billions of stars that have billions upon billions of planets orbiting them that we would be very naive to think that we are the only intelligent life in the Universe.

What makes you so sure of it?
Yes, I understand the whole "I'll believe it when I see it" concept.
Do believe in God, or another higher being?
I see no difference in believing there may be life on other planets and believing in a higher entity youve never seen either.

I wasn't including you. I never specified who I was including. I fully understand what "make believe creatures" refers to. I guess I don't really get your point? IMO...aliens, other life forms, whatever you wish to label them as =fictional creatures as in I don't believe they really exist.
And like I said you guys are entitled to your opinion and I to mine. If that makes me naive or whatever because my opinion differs from the majority then so be it. I am a 100% skeptic, I believe in nothing without SOLID proof to back it up. I've always thought that way, always will and opposing views posted on a discussion board aren't going to change my mind, if in the future I get abducted by aliens and anal probed.....it may change, LOL.

Personally, I think that the possibilty is there no doubt. I think its ignorant to assume we are the only living life forms in our entire galaxy...JMO. Sometimes I think that what if... What if, we as a species are merly just a science experiment like an ant farm to a much higer life form. Interacting with us would disrupt the natural order of what our purpose is to them. Im not convinced that this is true, but I find it intruging to let my imagination run with that notion..

seriously guys, watch this
http://atinyglimpse.ytmnd.com/
that is not some opinion, that is fact. Those are real pictures, when you see all the galaxys it reminds me of something out of some scifi show, but its real.
now this is my opinion... the universe is soooo huge, I think the chance of some sort of intelligence life is highly likely, because whatever conditions they may live in dont neccasarily have to match our conditions.
Maybe somewhere out there is a lava like planet where some types of creatures thrive...just because we couldnt live there doesnt mean something else cant
