My friend has 3 fish die over 3 days. all that remains is a shirm which has been doing good and looking good. The fish died about a week ago and the shrimp is fine. My friend is getting rid of his tank out of fustration and is giving me the shrimp, is it safe to put in my tank or will it bring desease into my tank?
Thanks

Because of the death....I say take him and put him in a quarantine tank for 4 weeks.

A 10g tank and a 10.00 HOB filter....very cheap if you consider the death toll of all your fish because of one little shrimp you added from a another fellows dead tank. It's your call, we can only offer advice. If you can't get a quarantine tank going...flush the shrimp, it isn't worth the life of all your fish.
