I am debating Braveheart. Wallace does have that lame love interest/memory thing going in the movie....and he cries as well in a couple spots, but does all the violence and blood, not to mention the manly comradery displayed in the movie put it over the top as a must own Man Library DVD?

Epics are acceptable to watch with a mixed group and coined as a man movie to not scare the girls away.
But if the goal of the movie is to make you cry, by the protagonist falling in love then dying. then it can not be a true man movie.
Dirty Dozen was a good classic man movie. Until it was referenced in a chick flick as a man movie. Hence it lost its standings in mandom.
