I thought it'd be fun to see a thread about fish that have been in our aquariums for a long time…
I'll start:
Mandarin dragonet: 9 years
Ocellaris clownfish: 14 years
Yellow tang: 16 years
Sailfin Tang,
Yellow Tang,
Hippo Tang, YT Blue Damsel, pseudochromis, 2 green chromis, 2 Oscellaris Clowns, I have had all these from the beginning...so 3 years 3 months old
That's long to me....LOL
Well mine isn't as long as your's but he is a super fish survived to ick out breaks only surviver out of 9 fish lost.
6 1/2 year old Facula butterfly. The Latice is 1 1/2 years , PBT 1 month and clowns 3 1/2 years
Well most of my "big fish" were returned when I broke the big tank down, so....
Female Mandarin, 3+ years old, still in the seahorse tank. Got her in 2008, though I'm not sure exactly when.
I have a blue hippo that previous owner had for 6 years..i've had her for a year. 7 year old fish is pretty cool. I couldnt imagine a 16 year old Yellow. Does he have any color? Every older (large) yellow i've seen has always lost a lot of their color.
Lemonpeel dwarf angelfish...3 years
Clown fish...5 years
Blue Hippo Tang...8 years
Blue mushroom coral...13 years, then I gave it away to do a cold water tank ( it was so invincible and survived so much, I just had to add it)
All of those fish died in the black out we had a few summers ago.
