I read that you shouldn't flush fish (I would guess invert apply) as they could (not certain) contaminate water supply. Just something I read, so we don't flush, but bag up completely, like a Ziploc baggy, then toss. We Ziploc them, cuz when anemones die, they STINK! Yuck. But I do not know for certain if they contaminate water system.
