Anemone question

Do anemones molt, Mine right now looks like a mop. Its a pink hatian tip. All of the tips deflated and all pink not what it should look like.

NO, they don't molt...but the inflate and deflate....they will deflate when they expel waste....

Its completely deflated. I thought maybe it was on its death bed.

A pic would help as would some more info'
How long have you had it?
How old is tank?
What type of Lighting?
What are your water parameters?
If it is dieing it will kind alook like it's melting....

I've had it for about 2 weeks now, I use a power compact light. The tank has been up over 2yrs now, and the parameters are good. Its actually starting to inflate. I was out of the house for about 4 hours and see that it was underneath a rock and all deflated.

The problem may be with the lights then....What size tank and what are the watts?
Anemones generally need strong lighting

I have a 55gal. Its a coralife 65 watt 10,000k with 65 watt actinic. Its starting to look better now, It's really inflating, do they deflate to exspel waste?

Thank you for the info. When I got home and looked at my tank and I seen the anemone looking that way I thought it was dieing, This is my first anemone in my tank. It looks to be ok now it's inflated and swaying around.

Your lighting is inadequate, unless you upgrade, the health of your anemone will continue to decline and eventaully die.
