anemone wont stick!!!

but it kind sucks that i have to work so hard to keep it going. i have to clean it every week bc i cant find a way to keep the algae from comming back. i dont have a testing kit right now bc they are like 50 dollars and i dont have a job or anything so im kinda stuck.
is it possible to get me a good tank going for around 500 to 800 dollors or even cheaper?

Right now it would just make it worse.....the anemone needs to be left alone...either it will recover or it won't

That is what mine looked like. Take your finger and barely open up the tentacles to look at the mouth. First off, if it doesn't close then it is dead. If the mouth is open and it looks like stuff is coming out, it is dead/dying. You can also take your finger and barely touch it, if it is slimy then it might still be alive. Smell your finger...don't laugh...and if it smells then it is dead.
My guess is that it is dead. The pic looks like it is deadzo.
