My anemone is still attached to my lr but its body is still shrivelled and its color is whitish. it used to be pink-with a purple tint. should i pry it from the lr and take it out of my tank? can i leave it in the tank overnight and see if its okay in the morning? some advice please???? :(

He has been in that state since 2pm. it was at that time that i saw one of my serpent starfish take a piece of what it looked like his insides. i sure hope Fishman1 tha you're right. i just don't want it to pollute my tank.

If starfish are eating it could down for the 10 count. I am sorry . Ask one of the SHARKS what they think.

I'm bummed! I might give it a few more hours. the starfish are not touching it now. But it does look droopy, with white shredded like digestive cavity (insides) or mouth exposed. I don't know which is it, the mouth or the digestive cavity. Part of it still looks alive; still has its color but the tentacles have shrunken.

Fishman1 if you are logged, could you tell me what you meant when you said, "ask one of the SHARKS what they think?"

Don't give up on him!!!! I have had an anemone for over a year in my bedroom reef tank (29g) It did the same thing for almost three days now it is spectacular. I feed it twice a week. I have read that's where people mess up is due to overfeeding. Just give him time and I think he will make a comeback. :)

Yes, I feed him. yesterday, he went underneath a lr. A I think he wasn't getting adequate light. I didn't want to pry him off the lr because it could have damaged its disc. Soo I left him and now it looks awful. But thanks for your responses. I'll see how he's doing tomorrow morning.

When I say to ask one of the sharks. They monitor the message board and are more up on fish facts. Are any of the you SHARKS on line? If you are swim on up. And give us some HELP :D

My anemone died last night. I found it this morning in a gooey droopy state. I took it out of the tank and boy did it smell. It broke apart as soon as I was lifting it out of the tank. My poor clown shrimp may be disoriented for a while. I'm afraid to get another one and have it die. The fish store told me that it could have been that it got something in its mouth that didn't agree with him and he ended up spewing his guts out. What a way to go? :(

My poor clown shrimp is disoriented. Does anyone know if he'll survive without an anemone if I wait a few weeks? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

I am pretty sure that your clownfish will be okay, my clown doesn't have an anenmone, but I have no experience with the shrimp.
