ok, with the michael vick thing, i am now feeling like the world hates animals. I watched a youtube video about animals being skinned alive in some foreign country, then i watched a few about animal slaughter. im now even considering being a vegitarean. yes, im serious. this video is horrible and the animals were skinned alive, then left to die. im not going to post a link because it is absolutley brutal. if you wish to watch it however, search youtube for joanna8866. this video made me cry, and i was wondering what some of your opinions on this subject are. im also just venting so if i seem like im rambling im sorry.

that is sick... how could you do this!?! these people will have a lot of explaining to god to do,that is pure evil.

I am not opening the links, cause from what you all wrote, I'd just get mad, but ric, you said you were thinking of going vegetarian, did the links, the cruelty have anything to do with feeding people or was it just seeing the innards of an animal that made you make that statement?

I wont even look at it. I love my hamburger as much as the next guy but there is something about slaghter house images that disturb me. And if its just images of animal abuse or torture ill get a sick angry feeling in my stomach.

...I dont understand humans at all. We are given the awe of life everyday and all we want to do is kill, mame and destroy it. Diane Fossey is one of my biggest mentors, she is right up there with Jane Goodall. Diane was killed trying to keep these beautiful animals safe from harm. I know she is rolling in her grave right about now.

Its so sad to see how some people are towards animals and I think if you get caught doing something to an animal the same thing should be done to you. There are some sick people in this world.

Only about 700 mountain gorillas left in the WORLD!!! What a waste. The senseless slaughter of 4 of them is huge. These animals were not killed for food, money, trophies or anything else. Just killed and left there. Horrible.

i miss stated this, im not going vegitarian, just im cutting back/whatching very closley what meat i eat. because of all of the mass slaughter

thats horrible. ive seen the videos where they skin animals alive and cook them alive in other countries, its just bad. i feel sorry for a lot of the animals.
makes you also think about saltwater animals too, even though youre not killing them there are a lot of people who just dont care and want a fish, dont take care of it, and it dies. why? just beause someone wants a pretty little fish. they capture fish from the ocean, you ship them to a warehouse, then theyre shipped to the lfs and are cramped in a small 10 gallon tank with sick fish, then they go to a hobbyists aquarium where hopefully someone did their research about it to keep it healthy and happy. hopefulyl aquacultured fish would be the first type of fish people should buy, but even then...
thats a whole other topic though. im sure ill probably be flamed for saying that too

Those numbers just hurt me so bad. I went to college to get a degree in animal behavior so I could become the next Jane Goodall or Diane Fossey and after about 6 yrs into my career I started to hate humans with all my being. Just for all the mistreatment and plain cruelty that they put upon such wonderful creatures. I'm a huge people person and I didnt want to start to hate everyone. So I switched jobs went back to college and got a nursing degree. I love the medical field. Now I'm being called back to my animals but this time around its for free. I am working for free at a local wild life rehabilitation center and I'm also a foster mom to 4 legged critters and I LOVE MY LIFE right now. If those scumbags keep it up these wonderful creatures will exit this world never to return and all for the.. I'm mighter then thou attitude. It just sickens me. My family knows my love for animals runs very deep. My husband is fine knowing he comes 3rd in my life and depends on how the kids are acting depends on who runs second in my life line up lol...My kids(like i said depends on how they are acting), then all my animals, then my husband. I just wish more people had a little more compassion for the lives that are in front of us everyday. Before its to late and then they are sitting around wondering what happend.

yea we feel sorry for these animals but have u consider how it is on the other side of the world? they dont have time to care for animals. everyone is in poverty in places where these crule things to animals are happening. they care about themselves. 3rd world country and all. on a small percentage give a care. what can we do about it though? stop eating meat? get this issue to those impower. unlikely they care. so really. what is there to do?

asshole should be skinned alive while poured salt on, along with burning oil, and pepper seasonings.

Slaughter House are rather creepy..Big sloped floor and lots of steel...
I myself eat meat...Lots of it..The rarer the better..
If you were to take a poll from countries around the world about Dog Fighting, Animal Cruelty, etc...It would come back as "no big deal"
America is a small part of that vote to alot of places in the world..
But it is there life style and culture (I am not saying killing dogs or gorrillas is okay or defending it) Its easy for us to sit hear and condemn the actions of others..It is the way they were taught to live thier lives..

These gorilla's were not killed for meat. They were killed to make a statement. As far as the YouTube site, those animals weren't killed for meat either. They are killed so people can wear their pelt's. You ask so really what is there to do. I'll tell you what will cut back on these senseless killings, stop buying fur coats. There is no reason why they can't do it more humanely. Don't talk to me about 3rd world countries. Just because you live in poverty and have to make a living you can still do it in a humane way.

can you say you dont care when you see videos of animals being skinned alive and screaming? can you say big whoop when you have animals being skinned and then cooked alive on a frying pan? big whoop
if youre going to eat an animal at least put it out of its misery quickly without prolonging the suffering. i wouldnt want to have every single digit cut off, then having my arms cut off, then placing me on a frying pan still alive. that would suck. i dont care if you do eat meat, but when you have cows who are slowly tortured, cooked alive, having their body parts cut one by one while theyre alive, thats really{EDIT LANGUAGE}up. were animals, of course we need to eat other animals, but dont be {EDIT LANGUAGE} stupid. of course were not going to invade countries and kill everyone for cooking animals alive, but have empathy. ive seen the videos where they have their meat markets, skinning animals for fur alive, hanging these little guys still alive and confused, then putting them on the grill. do you seriously not care about life? you already chose to take the life away from something that has every bit much of a right as living as we do, but damn... why make them suffer?? why would you want that?

I agree with Lazypinoy a little. Look out how Some people treat the animals then look out how other people treat people. Skinned alive thats just sick. Nothing deserves a fait like that. Some people are just coldblooded sociopaths Sp.
