To me this seems a bit tongue in cheek...like it was a somewhat joking exchange that when written down loses the banter aspect? I mean "you have to obey...but we have the fast track program?" Just seems like banter to me, at least. I've had people joke like that to me, as a Catholic with Lent and such. But they are said jokingly.

As far as hoping a jew would be "perfected", oh paleeeze! That is a common term among christians. Christianity teaches that the Jews are God's chosen people. People refer to those of the Jewish race that have embraced christianity as perfected. Donny boy needs to get his panties out of a bunch rather than feel insulted.

well no duh. because if you said it, who would know you said it, the news isnt going to say that you said it. i just think its sad that this is all the republicans have. all they do is spread hate. i frown upon it. christians are so uptight with there religion. I mean with gay rights and abortion(i do see contriversy in this one, but not gay rights). why do they get so uptight over things that have no affect on them, and on top of that they try to use the goverment to ban gay marriage(let gays be a miserable as the rest of us married people

) i mean christians need to shut up and stick to themselves and stop worrieng about other peoples lives. How many people follow the bible line by line. oh yeah no one does (not even priests). in the bible it says " your body is your temple" so why are preists fat. they goarge on food and junk food and bad food and destroy there bodies. so all those christians who bother other people just calm down

Now, as for your religious rant: Can you tell me where the "Body is your Temple" scripture is found? Have you read the whole text? Do you know who wrote it and to what audience? If so you might see the contradiction of complaining about Christians' stance on homosexuality while quoting that scripture in the same breath....
Second, are you saying only Republicans are Christians? You do realize that both Clintons, Kennedy, Boxer, etc, all claim they are Christians, right?

How is standing up for what you believe hurting people? How is sharing your faith hurtful? The government needs to legislate marriage because activists judges are re-writing laws and trying to redefine what marriage is.
This is not the thread to debate religion, but I find it interesting you bashed Christians and referred to "them", then posted later you were one of them.
You also are clearly trying to equate the Republican Party with Christians, yet you've made it clear you are a Christian and are for Gore.

Many people believe marriage is a holy ceremony between man and woman. We have a range of laws regarding who can get married. Should we remove all of those restrictions?

She is not deserving of the commentary in this thread or any other because thats all she used it for.
