Is the area getting larger? If so it may be RTN or STN. If so I would start to frag the coral. Cut the ends of the branches above the whit places, then super glu gel the good parts of the branches in another place or on another plug and through the white part and the plug away. If the area is not growing in size then leave it alone for a while and see what develops. The tissue in that cas may grow back over the white part. It is either bleached, I don't think so just in that area, or it is PO'd cause that is where you grabbed it when you got it to place it there and perhaps there was something on your hand, or it is RTN or STN.
What my guess would be without having seen the progression is that it is PO'd. I say this because the base it has laid down over the plug is not white.
