I didn't know that you could freshwater dip corals.....what's the reason?? I've never bought anything that I haven't had the local store hold for 2+ weeks.

parasites like zoa spiders. even if theyve been at the store for a year, the coral could still have them.

UPDATED PICS OF ZOOS
Pic one is hard fro me to get, but on this rock it seems to have some orange zoos...anyone know what they are?
The next 2 pics are the green ones. They are small, but there are a LOT of them.

Great find. I'm glad that you were able to get it and someone didn't take it home as live rock and put it under NO florescents in a FOWLER and kill all those beautiful zoas off. Congratulations.

Can't see the orange ones good enough to know if they are anything special other than orange centered zoas. Even if they aren't anything special if they look nice and you enjoy them, who cares.

Nice find man! They really didnt know what had lol!!
I know a couple of people who work for ***** and it's not that they don't know, it's that the local store personnel aren't allowed to override corporate.
-They can't buy locally even if it's a great buy from an ex-hobbyst
-They can't reprice anything even if they see the distributor has mislabeled something
Consequently I once saw three Yellow Tangs arrive. One was 4" and labled 'Large'. The other two were labeled 'Medium'. One was quarter-sized and the other was 4".
The little one is still in their display...and the other's in my 450!
Last year I also picked up a Naso marked 'Medium' and priced at $39.99. My friend had called me and told me to rush over for it. It was over 7"!

I was in the ***** here and it was very sad to see they had a Dogface puffer gasping for breath as it lay on the bottom of the tank. People were walking buy and saying how "cute" it was and that it looked like it was trying to sleep. I couldn't find any employees to let them know that the poor guy was suffering.
They also had a toadstool leather for $45; rocks with mushrooms were $50
So someone must know what to price things at.
I wish I could find rock with zoos for 9.99!
