Just an update. The daughters have been breaking off on their own and are dispersing throughout my tank.

Hiya,
How long did it take from when the mother die for the babies to show up?

Its been awhile, but I believe it was about a month. The coral was no longer white, and was greying out like live rock with other algae. The books always tell you to get the thing out of your tank, but I was just letting nature take its course. I have enough clean up crew etc. to handle small occurences.

Thanks! Its cool watching this whole thing unfold. I was very tempted at first to remove them, but I just let them come off naturally. Its amazing how they are scattering throughout my tank. As you can see, the one baby is almost as big as mom was.
