Any gun owners out there?

I just got back from the range and left with a new Walther 380. I wanted something with a little more kick than my 22s but cheaper to shoot than my other higher caliber handguns. I was worried that the 380s grip would be too small but it fit just right. I also shot my buddy's new Kimber 45 and it was nice. I am eyeballing the Springfield 1911 45 but it will have to wait awhile. My favorite to shoot is still my 357 but I can only shoot 38 rounds in it since magnums are so darn expensive to shoot these days.
So what are you shooting these days?

My single shot 12 gauge has been shooting a couple moles a week. I also have a pretty scary air rifle that shoots 1150 fps and it is my critter gun that I shoot starlings, house sparrow and bullfrogs with in my attempt to control invasive species.
I also have matching 22 and 38 caliber aluminum framed revolvers I use as pack guns and a 22 Browing lever-action 22 rifle with a laser that will pretty much shoot 10 shots and leave only five holes. Need to pick-up a new hunting rifle since I sold my old one because I was just not happy with it and my old age is causing me to need a good scope for the longer shots.
Don't faint stdreb, I know a Oregonian liberal with guns that has been trained to use them by the military is a scary concept, but no plans to invade Texas yet.

My air rifle is pretty sweet too. It shoots 1300 fps I think. I got my daughter a cheap daisy and she actually is a pretty good shot. I quit shooting my 12 gauge. It was given to me by my late grandfather and it was sold by sears and robuck which you won't find anymore. My worse gun is my Ruger Mark II (I think). The sob jams all the time. I have cleaned it multiple times and have tried many different types of ammo and it still jams. My skeet shooting gun is my browning over and under. I love shooting it!!!

Yeah, I had a Ruger Mark II and had the same problem, I traded it and a SKS for my current revolvers and was happy with the deal I made.

I've been thinking about trading in but would probably make out better selling it to someone. The store here gives crap for trade ins. I'm currently modifying my paintball gun but I can't go to the paintball course for awhile since it is so hot. My friends are in trouble though this Fall!!!

I am gonna get rid of some of mine. Been doing some research into all the different caliber uppers I can get for the AR15. Everything from 22 to 50 cal BMG. Gotta love that. I want to get a few more uppers for it but if I don't sell at least one other gun the wife will have a fit.

The wife is going to have a fit when she finds out I bought another gun today!

I have a cheap pistol, a smith and wesson .40 sigma series. SW40VE is the model. Put me back about $400, not bad for a brand new .40. My next purchase will be a shotgun for easier home defense. I've been thinking about saving up for a really nice handgun I can use as a family heirloom.... Is that too "hick" of me? :)

That's fun, but womp rats are even better. I bullseye them back home in my T16 with proton torpedos. It's not too easy on account that they are not much bigger than 2 meters across.
Seriously though... I just picked up my first AR15. Looking forward to deer season!

Perfect weapon for deer. Only gun I've ever used, and I've taken down several Mule Deer with it. Wish I still had mine.

My wife mocks me everytime I quote a movie, for just screwing it up just a bit...

Reloading the .357 magnums saves big bucks, and gives more consistant preformance. I love my friends Smith and Wesson. I've been on a kick with my Walther PP in .32 ACP. a 65 year old gin that is like butter. I tried a new Beretta M95 in .40 and did not like the action.

You allowed to take big game with a 223 in those states?
In Texas? Never heard of any restriction regarding shooting large game with a small caliber bullet. That's the beauty of the AR, I could put two or three shots in the deer before a person with a bolt action could get more than one shot.
Speaking of weapons, I was reading this story about a 'gun fight' in the middle of an Academy parking lot. Seems some punk wanted to steal a guy's Hummer, but didn't realize he had a concealed weapon. Next thing you know, there's a full-blown gun fight going on. Unfortunately, the Hummer guy got shot in the hip, and the attempted thief got away. Luckily, no one else got shot.

I'll bet he's glad he was armed and not a defenseless victim. And I bet the thief has serious reservations about car jacking next time. Also, as far as the cost of ammo, I hadn't bought ammo in 12 years or so, so I replenished my 7.62x39, .357 and 380 ammo last month. I was pleasantly surprised. I belong to one other forum, a Dodge forum, and there are alot of guys there saying how scarce and expensive ammo had become. I bought from cheaperthansoil.com and paid the same for the 7.62 and LESS for the 380 and .357 (both hollow point) than I did in 1998 when I last bought some. Did the price and availibility of ammo get crazy and I missed it?

A lot of states have a minimum required size for big game.

I scored a bunch of hollow point 7.62 dirt cheap when I first moved to Montana in the early 90's. The sporting goods place had taken it in on trade and seemed kinda offended to have that communist round in their store
I think I ended up paying around 2 bucks a box for the stuff. Those were the days,
Right after Obama got elected prices went nuts, I stocked up just before the election. Last year I picked up 3 guns that use 45 long colt, been hell finding any of that. I have a Dillon 550 press I need to learn how to use. Two most expensive things I have to shoot are the 480 Ruger and the 300 mag. Have a couple 45/70's too which ain't cheap but got about 300 rounds with the sharps so it will be a while before I need to buy any of that.
