Watched 5 we haven't see a thread on...Funny People; 6.5 out of 10. To be honestly, mildly funny people. Adam Sandler played the roll great. I'm actually really impressed with him in this, vs. how terrible "Zohan" was.
. Growing increasing tired of seeing Seth Rogen in everything lately. He's not that terrible acting, but he just seems to have little depth, every movie seems like the same character. It was really cool though, they showed some old clips of Sandler in the film (mostly at the beginning) even before he did SNL, which was awesome to see.
The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard; 8.5 out of 10, easy. Won't get a 9 because the plot is basic and there's nothing new, but it's a really, really funny movie the entire way through. Not just ha ha, but bent over laughing at parts. It's not Hangover funny, but it's up there. Jeremy Piven is awesome as always. Oh yea, don't take/watch this one at home with the kids lol...
The Final Destination; 6 out of 10. Indistinguishable from the other FD movies, though this one has some huge plot holes in it. It waas fun to try and guess which way they were going to died (like every FD movie), if that sounds right at all
. Felt cheated at the ending. Some of CG and stuff was cheap. For no name actors, they did pretty good.
Gamer; 7 out of 10, based on concepts and Dexter and the guy from 300's being in it, those guys need more roles. As a giant Halo fan/player, I'd thought I like this film more, but it just didn't connect on that level. It's a good action movie, just lacked that bit of something a classic Schwarzenegger film has. They did really well in this one, the graphics were cool, especially the SUV flying through the air on fire, and the car chase scene was good.
Extract; 5 out of 10, basic, what I'd call a 'filler movie.' Made to make a couple bux. Nothing really wrong, just nothing new at all. And I dunno why, but it seems like every movie now from Hollywood seems like their trying to ingrain in our minds that if someone cheats on you, it's okay, and you should accept them back. It was a Mike Judge film too, and it was barely funny at parts. I think knowing it's from him, leaves the worst taste in the mouth....
Anyone see something else or any of the 5 above?
