For some reason I thought you did Antisubmarine Warfare in your earlier years.
Nope, you do have me confused. However that would be cool to have added to my resume.
I disagree. I hope you are wrong. I am currently testing this. I will bring my results as soon as I can.I feel like every person out there has a finite amount of time, effort and money they can spend on different causes, and the fact people throw almost all of that into these "anti-gay" agendas seems misguided. And it only seems misguided, because there are much, much worse things that are going on that get little to no support, time, effort, and money from most people.
I suspect you are thinking of the extreme church that protests gay funerals and such. Let me ask you, did you support the occupy movement. A person could argue that was equally unimportant and misguided. Especially when you look closly at the ideas and proposition surrounding that movement.
That is for each individual to decide. Would you question someone that only gave money to rescue groups for animals instead of donating to Veteran causes? For example, let's say you could give $20 to your church. You could earmark that money to go to the church's soup kitchen, or sending a lobbyist to the state capital to push anti-gay legislation. Don't you think the starving homeless people are a little more important in the grand scheme of things?
And lastly, Darth... When I say what is the psychological reasoning behind "Why is homosexuality the worst thing in the world"... I guess I mean the "anger" factor it causes. Like, if you gave a questionnaire asking people, "One a 1 to 10 scale, with 10 being the most angry, and 1 being the least angry, how do you feel about these things?" And then give them options like oppression, hunger, homosexuality, economic inequality, politics, religion, abortion, etc...
I feel like you'd get a lot of 10's for homosexuality. I just don't know why. Like, does it press people's buttons because the gay movement is so pushy? Does it freak some people out because it calls into question their own sexuality? What are the reasons people get so heated?
As to your wikipedia link. It is clear you have not read the bible and made any deductions for yourself. You are content with another persons interpretation. You know, that thing you complain about Christians doing. Letting someone else interpret things for them.Yes I did. I simplified them all with the Wikipedia link I provided. Keep up.
No you didn't.
This is what I am refering about. I believe I clearly stated it.
As to Jesus preaching tolerance and acceptance...I am curious to what teachings exactly you are referring to so I can adequately answer.
