I've had one for a year it is a little touchy, you need to play with the collection cup. Thats there way to control the amount of foam that rises into the cup. I went with the MAG pump, i thinks it is a better pump IMO. The one I really like is the SeaCem unit I bought awhile back it is also a hang on unit works great easier to ajust and has lasted. Why you ask I didnt buy another one, heard alot good things about Aqua C, but I wish I bought another one. Buy the way the Aqua C was for a different tank the SeaCem is still running.

They are great imo. By playing with it, the cup has a band on it, if you want wet shim, just move the band up so the cup sits lower in the skimmer, if you want dry, move the band down so the cup sits higher.
I have the mag pump also,

So will this be a hang on the tank for the 54 seahorse tank?

Yes...Now my Seaclone is still working good, but I have noticed a little extra moisture on the outside...so I figure I'll start shopping before I get a leak

HMMM...Dimensions would work....which is what I have to look at first...LOL
A little higher priced though....the Deluxe model comes with light, and light stand for another $75
Hey, do you think having a fuge will help with cyano? You know I have to keep on top of this tank....to keep it in check

Extra water volume, that ability to have some type of macro algae to soak up nutrients, a refuge where pods can grow and be released into the tank, and a skimmer which I know nothing about how good it works but nano-newb1983 has one maybe you can get some input from him too. Seems to be a better option to me.

Thank you...Since my skimmer is still working (at the moment) I saved the site that I found the Aqua Fuge on into my favorites.....Since it is a little higher in price, but I think I like the idea of it (LOL) I think I will strongly consider it....
Do you think I should get the light offered with it, or look for a cheaper clip on???

Their is nice, engineered to look good on their fuge. However that is a personal choice depending on what you want the aesthetics to be. I would find something different myself. nano- newb1983 (Mark) would really have some fist hand knowledge here though. Pm him. Tell him Henry sent you!!!

If I knew the dimension of your tank I could maybe answer that. Can it be on the back of the tank? Is there a smaller model?

It's a corner bowfront, the 2 sides are 27" (NO BACK)
I think the problem may be with the lids I have...it's glass, and I need it to support the lights....
The smaller one is 19 1/4"
I have about 12" that is open over the back of my tank

HMMM.....I do not know if I can modify the lid

HMMMM...even if I eliminate the glass in the ctr, the frame is cut in a way that I don't think I could use the large one......BUT I could use the small one......I wonder if the small would work with a 54g...I don't see where it says that...BUT I' M LOOKING...LOL
