yup. The skimmer in it is built in. It runs with a wooden air stone. I have gunk in the bottle attached to it, so it must be working.

filter media. I have floss, carbon and chemi-pure. there is one lrg basket that has bio-balls.

LOL...I just finished reading the VERY LENGTHY set-up and instructions drop down....
Soo the trays are for filtration....do you use this for your filter also?
I have a good canister, so if I only wanted to use it for the PS...then I could probably eliminate the trays, throw show chaeto in there..put a light on...
WHAT DO YOU THINK of that idea????/

OHHHH...LOL...T...It's 9" Wide? Can you tell me how much of that width is in the tank, and how much is out? I have a little less than 4" clearance between tank and wall

I do use this for my filteration.
I dont think it would work for a fuge as that side is more like a trickle filter - the water dosent stay very deep in there.
Both pieces just fit under the tank. The auto top off is closest to the door, and I have to take it part way out to get the jug in and out.
Its worth it to not have to top off everyday.

Yeah I bet...My husband just hooked up an ato system to my 225...
..I was topping off 2-3g's a day...One less thing to do

I hate decisions
BUT I want the right equipment...

i like my aqua c just fine, but it did take a few weeks to break in. If i had the cash at the time i would have got the aqua c remora pro with the mag pump.

I have the aqua c with the maxi-jet 1200 pump running off my wet/dry.. I actually plumbed the maxi jet to the uv sterilizer and then to the skimmer.... works great wayyy better than my crappy sea clone... I hate that thing Im still running it on my QT tank and I have to play with it every day... The aqua c is a set it and forget it skimmer the first week or two u play with the collection cup to get the skimmate you want after that you leave it alone........you can check out a pic of my set-up on the share your aquarium section.... Thanks all...LOL..The funny thing is I like my Seaclone...Never had a problem...(YET) But I am afraid since I found some moisture on the outside it problems may be coming....my new skimemr may have to wait though...I have a horse that doesn't feel well, and I have to tend to him
