just got my directv bill in.it shows $25 for showtime and starz.for one ididnt know i was getting them so never once watched them.well apparently its the old give you 3 months free and then sneak it in the bill after.which iam sure they told us but.heres the thing we havnt been here at the new home three months only two.so they are trying to charge me before the 3 months.
what a bunch of crooks.it really gets old to have to watch every little thing we do these days.
just shows you how big companies have figured out how to squeeze evey extra dime out of us.
just like mail in rebates they hope we will forget to mail it or send us a debit card visa we wont use totally up so they save a few cents here and there.i am sure with big volumn it adds up to these crooks.

He, try dealing with Qwest for phone service. I've had DirectTV off and on since they first started and never had an issue like that. But when I had my service bundled with Qwest the fun and games started.

Satellite and cable companies ALWAYS bill you 1 month in advance for the services......It's all over t.v. about the 3 month free services..LOL....
I personally HATE those trial periods cause you have to remember to call...BUT...I do know they will cancel the service and credit you for it

yea trick because they know you will forget.same thing happend last yea i bought the nfl ticket and the following year they just put it on again.
just scumbag big business.
i called and bitched actualy told them what a bunch of scam artists they are.they did take it off the bill and cancel the channels.man do we have to write everything down these days just not to fall for this crap or what?i have eneough on my plate these days to remember stuff like this.
another on i dont get?how come when there is a car comercial on for zero interest rate then in small print on the bottom it says $16.50per thousand financed?

You have to remember 0% is only for people with EXCELLENT CREDIT.....They get people in there....and then sucker them in when they don't pass the credit requirements.....

That 16.50 per thousand financed means the amount of the payment so a 20K care will run you 330.00 a month for x months

IMO No, all companies are not crooks. If your not happy with a company, then cancel your service and be done with it. Most of the problems if companies IMO are because of computers and technology. Computers are only as smart as the person operating it or programming them. We as a society rely way to much on technology. Back before computers, we survived just fine. Computers are very unreliable.

if i am not happy with my provider?remember it is satalite they are only two providers and both do business the same way.
so reef the $16.50 a month is the payments?no interest?well now it makes sense.my bank is offering car loans at 3.75% very tempting since i only have 4 more payments on the truck i have now.also since is seems when i pay off a truck thats when things start breaking on it.

The payment can be with or without interest depending on what they are advertising.

That is because the 0% interest is for those who qualify and have good credit.

To be honest of all the tv providers we've had, Comcast, Cox, Brighthouse Networks, MediaCom, our current DirecTV is the best. The installer was really nice, had to leave to dropoff another box and offered to get us something. Did an awesome job running the cables. The $100 friend referral credit is great, and for the à la carte packages, it's the cheapest we've had.

Umm....no. Computers are completely reliable, given there are no hardware issues. A "1" and a "0" will always be a 1 and a 0.
Software developers, testers and users are very unreliable. Its the "garbage in...." thing. And there is, of course, the unscrupulous use.
-not disagreeing with your "too much tech" comment though...
