AM I BEING A WUSSY? ALSO I dont want any MALE STRIPPER or any other person rubbing up on my future wife! I have been to MANY MANY bachelor parties and know how BOTH parties can "get carried away"
first off you sound like a little girl...and if you're not secure with some other dude rubbin up on your girl, then well you're marrying the wrong girl...either you are insecure, or you're worried she'll

I got married in january, and did not have a bachelor party. I really regretted it, and i really wish i would have had one. I personally did not care if my wife had some guy bumpin and grindin on her at her party, as long as she doesnt sleep with him i dont care
I didnt necessarily need strippers, my wife would have thrown the biggest fit because she is WAY too jealous about things like that.........
I had a few of the guys over the night before, but ended up making sure my junkie cousin didnt sneak out of the house and smoke who knows what
Hes a moron, and have stopped talking to him for good after the wedding.

It's a last hoorah for the soon to be married man. You better do it. EVERYTHING changes when you are married. Not that it is a bad thing but you're fooling yourself if you think life will go on as it has. Do it you sissy
but control yourself and let her have fun too.

The motto of the single guy.

Honestly, if my wife feels it's disrespectful to have a n-a-k-e-d- girl grinding on me, or vice versa, it's not insecure. There's a level of respect that you should have for the person you are about to start your life with. The whole stripper thing... that's for young, single guys.
Just out of curiosity, why would someone want to devote their life to someone but feel the need to have a night of total and complete debauchery before marrying the love of his/her life? Kind of like the crack addict getting high one more time before going to rehab. Doesn't make much sense to me.

My Wife had a bachelorette party and I pretty much know what they did and that's okay with me. There are reasons I married her and one of them is that I trust her completely. Nothing happened other than she had a great time with a bunch of her friends and she got a hangover that lasted a coupla days.
I had a party of sorts as well, me and a bunch of buddies went on a bar crawl. Had a good time, no strippers for me on this though it wouldn't have made it better or worse. The time with my friends was what was of value to me.
As for being disrespectful or "going too far"; my Wife respects herself and is quite able to draw the line and same for me. In neither case did it even get close. Our true friends know us well, they were not about to even try to do anything we wouldn't be up for. Your best man and friends ought to know you pretty well and because they are your best friends - should already know your limits and boundaries.
So, are they disresectful? not inherently. Can they be? yep, but your true friends will not get you there. Are you a wussy for not having one? no, it's your choice. That said, to me life is about experiences, you only get one shot so enjoy it as much as possible. How you choose to do that is entirely up to you.

Well said.
My bachelor party consisted of 3 days of fishing in the keys. However, Fantasy Fest (keys version of Mardi Gras) was in full swing and I would have prefered to fish that night but my buddies convinced me to go so we went and had a lot of fun. I only regret that I was hurting too bad to go fishing the next morning. Instead we went out around noon
Some craziness happens at Fantasy Fest when friends advertise it's your bachelor party.

I can not tell you what you should do .
But I know that if/when I have mine Ruaround is going to come to town and we are going to have a blast . As a friend I know I can trust him to make sure we have fun but also to keep it with in the lines of not getting me cut off for life before I even get married .
I honestly think if you let her convince you its disrespectful and you completely reject the idea of any kind of party you will regreat it . If you are quick to agree because your worried about some guy grinding his package on her, Than you need to ask your self if your really that insecure about the person your devoting your life to .

Ah and this thread started out so nice with a soft tone even keeled discussion. BUT then serial antagonist TangWhispr has to do his "thing". I am definitely not insecure about my future fiance and trust her 100%. She just really doesnt care for it and has expressed to me that getting a male stripper is actually kind of gross. If you ask me if I prefer to have a sweaty guy stripper at her bachelorette party rubbing up on her and other guests or not? Well then I would have to say I prefer the latter to be honest, lol. ME? I have never had a problem with keeping it in my pants so why change now? Thats not what I meant when I said things get out of hand. Its usually someone else and then I end up babysitting.

Yeah but then I'd miss seeing my guys hoist the Stanley Cup tonight. Maybe your Aves will have some better luck next year.

BTW, remember when Mike Vernon beat up Patrick Roy?

My buddy threw me a great bach party when I got married last year. He got together about 20 guys, rented a coach bus that was done up like a limo inside and we all piled in and went to a casino. We played at the casino for about 4 hours, had a great dinner and were supposed to have a few strippers meet us in the bus but the driver decided at the last minute to not allow them in so the limo company rented a hotel room for us, we spent an hour getting a show then we all piled back in the bus for the ride home. My wife knew what the plan was and she was totally fine with it because WE TRUST EACH OTHER'S JUDGMENT!!!!
