I don't know much about anemones except that they need strong lighting. I had a hammer once in my tank and I have pcs. It died from an infection. It was a small frag and got knocked over, which punctured it. It did fairly well in my tank. Clowns can host frogspawns, and hammers which are pretty cool.

I've had two frogspawns, and two torches, and my clowns never touched them. The clowns are tank raised, so naturally they won't host anyways. But I had an anemone for a few weeks, and the second I put it in the tank my clowns are all over it, and hosted it.
There's a very small chance that a clown will host a frogspawn/hammer, and if they do, they will irritate it, which causes the coral to close up. Often times they can kill it. So it's important that you get a coral large enough, which I would say needs to be at least 3 large heads..
Onto the PC question, I'm not sure. I've heard that anemones cannot survive under PC lights, but 256 watts of PC was never in the cards ... So I can't tell you. I'm getting an anemone and have been told my 150 watt HQI sunpod is more than enough.. but it is HQI not PC.

Right now where i stand i cant afford the MH lights. thats why i am asking if there is any anemones i can have under 265 watt PC lighting. i just want to make sure its possible to keep one before i give it a try.
currently i am drawing out plans for a cabinet to have atleast 150 gal tank more then likely i will go with a 200 gallon tank or so. still need to figure that out so i can build my cabinet accordingly. after the cabinet is built and i buy the tank i will be sure to set it up with MH lighting but for the time being i am buying things here and there that i will want in my larger tank.
this project will take a while and farther down the road type of project.
but for the here and now. is it possible to keep a anenome alive and healthy under this lights?

yup i do know that clowns will host corals as well. i am sure when my fuzzy mushrooms grow larger they could very well host them. and one day i do want to get some frogspawn and a hammer coral but to be honest i dont want my clowns hosting these corals. i knwo i really dont have a say in it once there all in the same tank. i am guessing that why at this point i would like to add a anemone versus more coral.
but for the time being i am wondering if there is any anemones i can keep with the lighting i currently have.

It's spelled 'ricordea' I was just making a point that it is an anemone that can be kept with that lighting. I too doubt it is what he is looking for, but it WAS an answer. Yes, it is categorized with mushroom corals but our categorization system in this hobby completely sucks imo...

LOL...True...about the categorization of stuff....it does suck....and it makes it very confusing.
