I actually did do my research and find a lot of sites saying garlic can deliver damage to the parasite itself, but more study is needed. I did all this research years ago when I was fighting ich like no tomorrow. That's when I try all kinds of methods and this worked for me. IF I had put my Naso Tang through hypo or any kind of medication, he will not survive!!! He was very weak at that stage where he is basically skin and bones, I should of taken some pictures of it....I only have my partner as my only witness to back me up on that. We give the fish 24hrs to live since it was laying on it's side and couldn't even swim properly. IF I had not administered treatment with garlic enhanced food directly to his mouth 4+ times per day, he will not be here today. I know there's a lot of argument over this issue with garlic, but this is my view since it did bring my fish back to health. Here's a picture of him, just took it in the middle of writing this....
