Ask Me Anything!

So, as the thread says, ask me anything and I will answer.
Rules though:
1. Nothing too personal (use your common sense)
2. Be creative
3. You can ask aquarium related questions, but I warn you, I do not know everything and always invite many, many opinions.

Yeah, I tried, but swf.com was calling my name. I tried staying away from the website, but youtube and bored.com will only suffice so long. Besides, I feel at home with everyone here, and can relate more to you guys then I can my own family!

Nothing, just having a little fun. I thought it would be interesting to see what people wanted to know about me etc. OR just trying to pick my brain. Kind of fun :D
I have this thread subscribed so I will always be around to answer questions...

Do you think that the Lions should draft a quarterback in the first round? (Be aware that if you say "yes", you immediately become the first person ever on my ignore list
).

OK, if you have diatoms in a 225g tank, but only in the 2 back corners...what would you get to eat them?

How do you feed a frag tank that is not attached to another system and has no fish to eat left over food?
Depending on what you have, and your water filtration system for that particular frag tank, you should feed DT's Phytoplankton and/or oyster eggs. Remember to not over feed or else you will have nitrate and phosphate issues. Also, it depends on what you feed your coral, such as a sun coral frag needs meaty foods, where as a gorgonian needs live rotifers / artemia to survive.

Diatoms should not be noticeable in a tank like yours. You should check your TDS reading for top off water to make sure no silica is leaking into your system. You are not dosing a product in your tank that contains silica are you? Make sure that it's not detritus buildup either. Good inverts that clean it up could be brittle stars, nassarious snails, cerith snails, margarita snails, turbo snails, sand sifting starfish, blue leg hermit crabs and the like. Make sure that they are diatoms though, they could be something much worse like dinoflagellates.

Where is the mistake?
a=x
a+a=a+x
2a=a+x
2a-2x=a+x-2x
2(a-x)=a-x
2(a-x)=1(a-x)
2=1
If a=x, then
x+x=x+x
2x=2x
x=x

Maybe I should ask this...what is a diatom? From reading posts, I thought it was that brownish powdery looking stuff? Am I wrong? Maybe I should ask..what is the brown powdery stuff (on the sand) in the 2 back corners of my tank? LOL
