mmmm Yeahhhh,, 1 more question.. When are going to remove the SANTA HAT off kitty? Its almost as bad as those people who keep their christmas trees well into February and Just as bad as those people who say HAPPY NEW YEAR into February as well...

Fleets of lionfish swimming to Star Wars....don't ask why...have no idea...random thought.

This One.
.....but let me tell you why.... This cake was a FIRST BIRTHDAY CAKE for a LITTLE BOY. The theme, my dears, was a video game called "Devil May Cry." Now... I love computer geeks. My Husband is a geek, my Dad is a geek, all our friends r geeks.... but this particular game is NOT child friendly. AT ALL. I had to take 2 of the parents' favorite castles from the game & somehow meld them together into one structure... and on top of all that.... make them kid friendly!!!
Also... the child himself was NAMED after the very dark, very slimy main character of this game. The Child. The human child. To each their own - but this one really through me for a loop.
I will say that I had a LOT of fun doing this cake - I watched countless youtube vids of game-play & researched some demons from the game & picked out 2 which I felt I could render kid friendly enough so as to even look cute (ie; Bael and Dagon - the 2 little dudes sitting on either side of the castle).
It ended up a great success (the clients loved it) .... but it was one weeeeeeeird project.

I don't like 2have icecream with my cake unless the cake is piping hot - and the only kind of cake that SHOULD be eaten piping hot is molten chocolate cake, and the flavor of icecream that should be eaten with it is vanilla bean.
My Father would smack me upside the head and remind me that Jewish Apple Cake can also be eaten piping hot and should also be eaten with vanilla ice cream.... but I HATE apple cake. I HATE cooked apples ALTOGETHER. They are slimy

As for my education, I went to private religious schools from pre-k through high school, then I got a BA in Jewish Studies & Journalism & then decided I didn't want to be a journalist so I went to school to be a Vet-Tech & did that for 3 years until I got REALLY. SICK. of the abuse so I went back to the drawing board and went to the French Culinary Institute for pastry design and started my cake design firm!!

Chaos knows where I'll end up next!!!

What grinds my gears? omg. sooooooo much. I'm a little OCD, so pple eating loudly grinds my gears - but maybe that doesn't count, b/c it goes a little beyond grinding my gears to RENDERING ME COMPLETELY HOMICIDAL... so let me see....
oh yes.... I know what grinds my gears....
When people are intolerant and elitist and discriminatory. THAT really grinds my gears.

LOL you become homicidal if someone chews loudly but it "grinds your gears" if people are intolerant??? Sorry doll, but I had to point that out. It doesn't quite make sense to me

ok, here is the difference... when I hear people chewing loudly, I have a physiological reaction, the reaction is beyond my control, it is not logical, it is not something I can rationalize or think about - it makes me get up from my seat and smash my hands against the table.... it's a disorder.
the being irritated by intolerant people is an intellectual CHOICE - it's something I can control, it's something I have thought about, something I can meter and rationalize and explain. I will not automatically & uncontrollably throw a spoon at someone who tells a sexist joke. I WILL do so if someone slurps their cereal infront of me...and there happens to be a spoon handy

One is a disorder, one is a choice.
....better?
