Baffle Problems Help

I recently ran across some GE Lexan. It states that it is 100% silicone and will bond lexan, glass, pvc, aluminum, fiberglass, metals, and abraded rubber. I have not been able to determine if the product is food safe yet, all queries to GE go unanswered. Has anyone else heard of or tried this product?

If its too rounded you will cut back on your surface area on the sides resulting in a less sturdy hold, but like viper stated with water on both sides you will have less preasure

Two things,
1: The baffles are not that huge, but the rounded corners was what was costly...i did not want to shove the sharp corner into the already applied silicon for the actual tank, so these rounded corners fit perfectly into the concave arch of the tanks walls for a more perfect fit. So the rounded corners still touch all surfaces which will make a better bond.
2: You said you did not specify which GE silicon II to use, which one is it?

Also, when i put these new baffles in, since I was having some minor problems with microbubbles even with the old baffles, if I space them out more than 1" would it be even better for the bubbles? Would a 2" space be good?

I cant find the actual name cuz im away from my shop, GE has silicone II avalible for bath, doors, kitchens, and other things. if it has somthing special about it on the bottle it will have extra ingrediants in it that will harm your tank. what dose your tube look like?

resd all the tubes that home depot sell they have one version of GE silicone that has no aditivesin it, its clear and in a blue tube, but dose not specify that its for any thing in paticulare. you dont want the tubes with mildew risistance in it or any thing like that

return in the middle, skimmer on one fuge on other, three baffles from each compartment. i had it already set up with the acrylic, but they failed, i was getting microbubbles still in main tank with baffles spaced 1" apart. I was going to space them further since I have a chance to redo them. Is 2" overkill is 1.5" enough? this is a 55g tank for the sump/fuge

I put a sponge when they were 1" apart and that still did not completely eliminate them. I read some posts from squidd and he recommends at least 2" more if the flow is faster. I am using a 2400gph pump which could be just too much flow through the sump and cause the stuff to just pull right through...pumps up about 5 feet so the head should be taking the flow down to at least 1400gph...still a lot for a sump though i guess.
