Baking Soda???

Why do people add baking soda to there tank?

oh ok. i can never get my ph level to stay where I want it. it drop alls the time. and ive had my tank for about 3 months.. am i bugging you? im a begginer so trying to suck in all the info I can get

if your trying to keep it stable try dripping some kalkawasser(sp) it will keep ph and calcium stable

It may do that is some tanks but it doesn't in mine. I use baking soda to control my alk. You should not use baking soda to control PH.
