I am no expert...but I am pretty sure sharks are nocturnal (night creatures). What size tank do you have to keep a shark?

Size of the tank is a key issue... a pup should be housed in a smaller setup until large enough to hunt for food... anything from a 20 long to a 50 gallon should work.
I would get some white shrimp, or if you can't find those ghost shrimp. The live shrimp can survive in the tank for a while until the shark finds them. Eating live food will stimulate the hunting instinct.
Feeding at night with the lights off is also a good idea.

If you haven't tried it already per the PMs, please get squid and cut only the tips of the tentacles. Take a bamboo skewer and put a tentacle on the end, and basically wiggle it right under his nose.
I've raised a lot of hatchling sharks and this has worked very well in the overwhelming majority of cases, though I basically fed by hand as they were in very shallow tanks. Didn't matter if it was lights on or not, though bright lighting may not be good regardless.

if he still has his egg sac on him dont try to feed him..but if it is gone, i used to take a slver side and twist it so all the fresh meat and guts are exposed and put it under hes nose.. make shure not to give him any bones in the food yet.. the ones that i had always worked out great buy doing that.. leave the bright lights off when feeding..also get some fresh uncookd shrimp and peel it they also like that..
