Dosing bottle is perfect. Try to match your daily evaporation rate but drip it all in overnight.
Limewater will add Calcium and Hydroxide. The Hydroxide will react with CO2 in the tank water to produce Bicarbonate (ALK).

oh boy :notsure: imma confused.... match my evaporation rate? hmm how do i figure that out? should i dose the kalk only at night or 24hrs?
so then basically kalk will in affect be able to raise my alk, once it mixes in my tank with the CO2 to form the bicarbonate? :notsure:

How much water do you have to add to your tank every day or week to replace the evaporated water? That's your evaporation rate. For the typical 55 it's about a gallon a day more or less.
Dripping it in 24/7 is fine but dripping it in at night will stabilize your PH.

i go thru a 5g jug of ro/di water a week. so alittle less then a gallon a day
