Do you have any problems with humidity in the basement with all that water?
Also, are there any viewing windows on the sides or is it just block?
Looks great.

Great question.
I have a huge cover that comes down from the ceiling. It has a pulley system to raise & lower the cover. I have air ductwork and a fan that ventilates to the outside from a hole in the cover.
It can only be viewed from above looking down.

howd you get everything n there walking around in it? It seems too far to lean with cinderblocks and heavy rocks.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! How much of a pain is it to do water changes and keep the water paameters at the right level? What approximately was the price tag of this baby? I mean without all the livestock?

Bang...Excellent set up. How much evaporation do you get? I know you answered another poster that you drop a suspended canopy but you still must go through gallons of RODI top off water daily. How much?

5 gallons a day with the top down. 20 gallons a day with the top up.
There's a fan that vents the air inside the top to the outside so none of the evap stays in the house even with the top up. If I want to raise Calcium & Alkalinity I can crank the top up 1/2" to increase evaporation. This will cause more limewater to automatically be pulled into the system.
The Sump is covered as well.

Amazing. I go thru 5 gallons per day on my much much fewer gallon system.
Thanks
PS...Now that you have had it up for some time....Would you do it all over again? Would you make it even bigger?

It's the perfect size. I would have done 2 things differently.
1 - It's up on cinder blocks, I should have put it on the floor on top of Corning insulation to make it lower. That way I could sit & look at it. I would also be able to do better pictures.
2 - I have a 2" overflow hole drilled into the side that flows to the sump. I should have just used 5 or 6 1" PVC siphons like a giant hang-on overflow to the sump.

Yeah, that's it. It was actually cheaper than my display tank.
I use a DSB for filtration and the skimmer is a DIY.
