Banggai behavior

I got a banggai cardinal 4 days ago. He mosty just hangs out in one part of the tank. He has been eating a little but he's not very aggressive at getting food. He is not being harassed by anything.
Is this normal for a banggai??

Probably you'll just end up with one or two. Once a couple pairs up they don't tolerate any others in the immediate vacinity.

that is rediculus....if a LFS doesnt know what they are doing they go out of business. Places that are not huge chains go out of business for bad advice..period. The big chains are issues but typically small LFS are not bad. While i agree (even my store is guilty at times) some over stock tanks for the purpose of sales and space considerations. Lots of times if we dont "overstock" there isnt enough room and people complain about selection and such. PLus we get discounts to buy at quantity prices. What people tend to ignore is that, at least at my LFS, over stocked (ours arent REALLY over stocked) tanks get water changes on a daily or everyother day basis, and most of the time short term crowdedness. Wed lose money in losing livestock, and if things dont look healthy they dont sell. Does this mean you should put a lot of fish in your tank at home? of course not, but for a temporary situation, most fish do fine :-/
I just hate when people harp to much on LFS sucking :-/

well y then at the stores do they have like 20 some odd of them in a tank?

If you read my post carefully you'll notice that I stated "Once a couple pair up". Juveniles don't pair up and it takes a few days for the Adults.
I also believe that most stores experience horrendous losses of wild caught Banggai. Most of the stores I do business with will no longer even accept adult wild caught fish.
