Spare me...LSU beat the following teams
Va Tech 48-7...#3 in the BCS
S. Carolina....12th at the time
Florida
Auburn....17th at the time
Alabama...17th at the time
Tennessee
Wisconsin (at 19) is the only team in the current top 25 that OSU beat...like ctm474 said this is just another time OSU will get stomped by another SEC team.

LSU didn't play Georgia this year.
I am not arguing for USC in the title game...I don't care if John David Booty was out, they should have been able to beat Stanford with Pete Carroll playing QB.

They played 3 teams who were ranked in top 25 at the time they played them.
But where are those teams LSU beat now
S Carolina = out of the top 40
Auburn= 23rd
Alabama= out of the top 40
Flordia=12th
Tennessee = 16th
They were beaten by the 38th ranked Wildcats and the 27th ranked Razorbacks.
But it really doesn't matter. OSU is in the game and I hope they win so they can shut up all the haters out there.

Yeah, I bet LSU would have done soooooo much better if we had played KENT STATE or any of the other 5 or 6 pushovers that OSU played too! Could be that OSU plays in a conference with 2 or 3 other good teams and the rest are mediocre. If you don't show up with your "A" game every week in the SEC, even Vanderbilt will come up and bite you on the butt.

LSU is the best team in the country. They lost to two SEC rivals. SEC is the hardest conference in the country. The also lost BOTH of those games in 3OT.

Kansas is a terrible team. They played the 106th hardest schedule in the nation.

3OT by a combined deficit of 8 points! Not to shabby in my opinion. Geaux Tigers!

You are wrong Tennessee was 9-3 and LSU lost both of it's games in 3 overtimes. They will kill OSU just like FLorida did. Look at who LSU played and then tell me one team on OSU schedule that can compare to any team LSU played? Florida, Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Miss State, South Carolina and VA Tech which they beat to death.......Now name that many quality teams that Ohio State played?

Many people are saying USC and Okla are the best teams. And a loss is a loss.

I'm not going to make any predictions, but I think Ohio State will play much better than people expect. We have quality players...we always have... thats why we have produced more NFL players than any other university. We have more than a month to go before the game.... I can't wait to see what happens. Tressel is an excellent coach... the team will be prepared this time.

Well for anyone curious, the opening lines on some of the BCS games are as follows
LSU favored by 5 1/2 over OSU
Oklahoma by 6 over WVU
Georgia by 10 1/2 over Hawaii
USC by 13 over Illinois
I'm not a gambler, I always find point spreads interesting though.

Okla is good team. IMO, they are #3 behind LSU and VT.
USC is a joke. Hopefully Illinois will show how "great" USC really is.

Could you please reference your source for the ". . . more NFL players than any other . . ." ??
Yes, you had more than a month last time, also. And it was what was credited with the team's downfall.

Michigan... LMAO!!! OSU has one of the weakest SOS's for a top teir BCS team... PATHETIC!!!
yup the BCS has proven that the only way to get a true NC is a playoff... but this doesnt bid well for the voters that love to see USC, OSU, Notre Dame, OU or LSU in the NC game...

i would like to see that ref as well... im pretty sure that overall OSU is in the top 5... but does not, or has not put the most players into the NFL...

Ohio State cant help it that the big 10 is down for the last few years. The big 10 plays the other so called "best conferences" we lose some and win some. The schedules are made years in advance. If I do recall OSU played Texas 2 years prior to this season. We owed Washington a game from 2003. In '08 and '09 is USC. Followed by Miami in '10, '11. And following that is a home and home with Oklahoma, Virginia Tech and Cal. So OSU has no control on how good those teams will be at the time they play. The Buckeyes will be in Pasadena in September '08.
Whether you people think the buckeyes deserve to be there or not they are there and this is the system we have. Deal with it. Its not going anywhere, so just enjoy it for what its worth. If your team didnt lose then they would be playing for a national title. So called cupcakes or not we all play them, it spreads the money for the smaller schools to attempt to even the playing field.
